Blaine Clausen; Austin Lord; Jo LopezThe NAMM Show, the popular music-equipment trade conference held annually in Anaheim, California, officially kicks off Thursday, January 24, and runs through Sunday, the 27th. The Gibson guitar company will host a variety of events during the conference, including performances by and interviews with some big-name rock stars.

Among the highlights is an opening-night party called the NAMM Jam that will be held at the City National Grove of Anaheim.  It feature performances by ZZ Top‘s Billy Gibbons, Peter Frampton, The DoorsRobby Krieger and Heart‘s Nancy Wilson.

The concert’s house band will include guitarist Jimmy Vivino, Rolling Stones touring bassist Darryl Jones and renowned session drummer Kenny Aronoff.

Here’s a rundown of some of the other Gibson-hosted events at the NAMM Show:

–On Thursday, Cheap Trick‘s Rick Nielsen will take part a signing and performance at 12 p.m. PT, Def Leppard‘s Vivian Campbell will participate in a Q&A at 1:30 p.m., and REO Speedwagon‘s Dave Amato will be interviewed and show off his new signature guitar.

–On Friday, Frampton will do a signing at 1:15 p.m. Wilson will take part in a panel discussion with other female musicians at 3 p.m. and will give a private performance at 6:15 p.m.

–On Saturday, Paul McCartney‘s touring guitarist Brian Ray will demo his new signature guitar at 1 p.m., Alice in ChainsJerry Cantrell will be interviewed at 4 p.m., and The Robby Krieger Band will give a performance at 5 p.m.

As previously reported, Frampton will receive the Les Paul Innovation Award at the 34rd annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards, taking place this Saturday during the 2019 NAMM Show.

The honor recognizes people or institutions that have made a significant impact on the world of audio production and technology.
