Credit: Leah SteigerSammy Hagar and his current band The Circle have released an official video for “Trust Fund Baby,” the hard-rocking lead single from the group’s upcoming debut studio album, Space Between.

The clip, which you can watch on Hagar’s YouTube channel, mixes footage of the Red Rocker and his group performing the song with a depiction of a spoiled, wealthy young woman whose life is one big drug- and alcohol-fueled party.

The video was directed by ZZ Satriani, the son of one of Sammy’s Chickenfoot band mates, guitar whiz Joe Satriani.

Hagar says the clip nails “what happens when kids are given too much money — too early in life — and it becomes an affliction.”

He adds, “All the money in the world isn’t a guarantee for a good life. I’m a believer in working hard and finding purposeful work — but that comes later in the story.”

“Trust Fund Baby” is available for purchase now digitally and via streaming services, and fans pre-ordering Space Between will get an instant download of the track. The album will be released on May 10.

The Circle’s lineup features Sammy’s ex-Van Halen band mate Michael Anthony on bass, occasional Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham and guitarist Vic Johnson, a member of Hagar’s longtime backing band The Wabos.

As previously reported, Hagar & The Circle will support Space Between with a U.S. tour that kicks off April 19 in Reno, Nevada, and currently is mapped out through a June 7 show in Tinley Park, Illinois. Check out all the dates at RedRocker.com.

In other news, Hagar’s AXS TV series Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar will return for a fourth season premiering this spring.
