Courtesy of VetsAidJoe Walsh has announced that $795,000 in grants has been disbursed to veterans services organizations, thanks to the money raised by his second annual VetsAid benefit concert, held November 11 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington.

Joining Walsh at the show were Ringo Starr, Joe’s Eagles band mate Don Henley, James Taylor, country star Chris Stapleton and sibling pop-rock group Haim. You can check out a video recap of the concert at VetsAid.org.

Out of the $795,000 raised, nine larger national charities received $75,000 each, while 12 smaller local or regional organizations were presented $10,000 grants.

In addition, Walsh donated $10,000 to the Veterans Fund of the Ventura County Community Fund in Ventura, California, to support that community in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that struck that area.

Meanwhile, Joe announced that the third annual VetsAid concert has been scheduled for Sunday, November 10, in Houston.

“VetsAid — the shows, the old friends coming together to make music, the new friends I’ve made along the way and the veterans community that has so warmly welcomed me — is quickly becoming one of the great joys and privileges of my life,” said the 71-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer in a statement.

“I’m so grateful for the support we’ve received and I’m proud to be able to do what I can, and for a population that does so much and asks for so little.”

The inaugural VetsAid show took place in September 2017 at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia, and raised $360,000.
