ABC/Randy HolmesMetallica has shared a live video capturing an acoustic performance of the song “The Unforgiven,” recorded during the band’s unplugged charity show last November.

Along with taking out the amps, the metal legends added a few more instruments to the performance, including mandolin and pedal-steel, giving the Black Album single a more twangy feel. You can watch it now on YouTube.

The rare acoustic concert was held in support of Metallica’s All Within My Hands charity foundation. It ended up raising $1.3 million for issues including hunger and workforce education.

The premiere of the video coincides with Metallica’s second annual Day of Service, which is happening today. As a part of the volunteering effort, Metallica fans across the country are donating their time and effort to their local food banks.
