Vertigo

VertigoZakk Wylde‘s Black Sabbath cover band Zakk Sabbath is re-recording Ozzy Osbourne and company’s self-titled debut album in honor of its 50th anniversary.

In order to mimic the conditions of the original Black Sabbath, which was recorded in a single day in 1969, Zakk Sabbath will record their version, “live in a fully analog studio, direct to two-inch tape, all in a single 24-hour period.” The session will be filmed for an accompanying documentary.

The Zakk Sabbath version of Black Sabbath will be titled Vertigo, named after the record company that released the original album. It’ll be released on the record’s exact 50th anniversary: February 13, 2020.

Vertigo will be limited to just 500 copies, which are already sold-out. Stay tuned to ZakkSabbath.com for more info.

You can also catch Zakk Sabbath live on a North American tour starting in August.
