Courtesy of VetsAid/Live NationIn March, Joe Walsh announced that the third annual benefit concert for VetsAid, his non-profit veterans organization, wouldl take place November 10 in Houston.  Now, the Eagles guitarist has unveiled more details about the event, including the lineup.

The show, which will be held at Houston’s Toyota Center, will feature performances by hometown heroes ZZ Top, plus Sheryl Crow, country star Brad Paisley, Americana act Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit and, of course, Walsh himself.

Tickets for VetsAid 2019 go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 16, and will be available at the Toyota Center Box Office, at ToyotaCenter.com or by calling 1-866-4-HOUTIX.

Active and retired military personnel and their families can purchase discount tickets. Appropriately, the show is scheduled to take place on the eve of Veterans Day.

Net proceeds from the concert will be disbursed to a variety of veterans’ services charities, with a focus on organizations located in the Houston area. The first two VetsAid events, which were held in Fairfax, Virginia, in 2017 and Tacoma, Washington, in 2018, raised a total of $1.2 million.

“It’s about time we brought VetsAid down to Texas and who better to share the stage with than my old buddies and Houston’s own ZZ Top!” Walsh says in a statement. “With Brad, Sheryl, Jason and more special guests to be announced joining us too, this will be yet another historic night of incredible music for our vets.”

The 71-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer adds, “This is a night where all are welcome to celebrate the things that unite us as Americans: good friends, open hearts and great music!”
