Amped DistributionKing Crimson‘s current lineup, which is the longest-running in the band’s 50-year history, started touring in 2014 and they haven’t stopped since.  Now, the band is documenting the last five years of their life on the road with a series of five live albums released under the name Audio Diary 2014-2018.

The five-CD set dedicates one CD to each year, from the current lineup’s first concert in Albany, NY in September of 2014 through a 2018 show in Tokyo.

The first album is mixed from multi-track tapes by Robert Fripp and Jakko Jakszyk, while the other four albums are from the band’s own stereo soundboard recordings.  The package comes with a 24-page booklet with previously unseen pictures.

The material covered on the albums ranges from classic songs like “21st Century Schizoid Man,” “The Court of the Crimson King” and “Larks’ Tongues in Aspic, Part One,” to Robert Fripp’s solo material and new songs written specifically for the current lineup, such as “Meltdown” and “Radical Action.”

King Crimson’s current lineup includes Fripp, Jakszyk, Tony Levin, Bill Rieflin, Jeremy Stacey, Gavin Harrison, Mel Collins and Pat Mastelotto.
