If you’re dealing with stink bugs in your home, you’re not alone. Nor Serocki of the Van Buren Conservation District has some ideas about keeping bugs from getting in.

“They try to find the tiny cracks that they can fit through,” Serocki said. “So one place that I always find them sneaking in is around air conditioner units that stick out of the wall or windows.”

She recommends sealing up any gaps you can find. Serocki says stink bugs are looking for a nice warm place in the winter and will leave in the spring. Meanwhile, the bugs are best put in a bowl of soapy water or , outdoors as squishing them can produce an unpleasant odor. For more tips, visit VanBurenCD.org.
