Credit: Josh CheuseThe rumors are true! After breaking up into 2015, The Black Crowes have announced plans for a huge 2020 reunion trek commemorating the 30th anniversary of their 1990 debut album, Shake Your Moneymaker.
The world tour will kick off with a North American leg that begins June 17 in Austin, Texas, and is mapped out through a September 19 concert in the Los Angeles area. So far, more than 45 shows have been confirmed. The band will play Shake Your Moneymaker in its entirety at the concerts, plus other select hits.

In celebration of the tour announcement, the band will play a pair of intimate shows this week, the first one taking place tonight at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City and the second on Thursday, November 14, at the famed Troubadour in L.A. Information about scoring tickets to the gigs will be revealed on The Black Crowes’ Instagram page.
The band, of course, is led by the infamously contentious Robinson brothers, singer Chris and guitarist Rich, who had vowed never to perform of speak to each other again. It’s unclear what led to the siblings’ reconciliation.
“I’m thrilled & blessed to be playing with my brother celebrating the music we’ve made & bringing our lives together full circle,” says Chris Robinson.
Add Rich, “First and foremost, I’m really happy to have my brother back in my life. To be able to play music again together and celebrate the first record we made as kids, is a gift.”
According to Rolling Stone, the rest of the Black Crowes lineup will feature new members.
