Jay West/WireImageTwisted Sister called it quits in 2016, but frontman Dee Snider has revisited the classic glam-metal look he wore during the group’s 1980s heyday to deliver a message of support to the people of Australia, as they deal with the brushfires that have devastated the country.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, Snider says, “Hey, everybody, it’s me, Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. Obviously, you should know that because I have gotten dressed in full 1984, official, original, O.G. Twisted Sister Stay Hungry regalia, just to bring attention to what is going on in Australia.”

He continues, “Australia has always been an incredible country for…Twisted Sister. Amazing people there, great people there, and they are going through literal hell right now. We all need to send hope, love, prayers and any kind of help we can. There are plenty places online and you can go if you want to help. People are dying. Animals are dying. Forests are being destroyed, millions and millions of acres.”

Snider goes on to dedicate a special a cappella version of the Twisted Sister hit “We’re Not Gonna Take It” to Australia, asking the people from the Land Down Under to “join in one voice and sing with me,” then urging them to “keep singing” and “keep fighting.”

The unprecedented brushfire outbreak in Australia, which began in September, has claimed at least 25 lives, killed millions of animals and destroyed over 2,000 homes.
