Courtesy of AXS TVSammy Hagar‘s AXS TV reality series Rock & Roll Road Trip returns for a fifth season that kicks off Sunday, April 19 at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.

Among the celebrities featured on the show this season will be Def Leppard, Joe Walsh, Queen‘s Brian May, Ted Nugent, Matchbox Twenty‘s Rob Thomas and Extreme, whose frontman, Gary Cherone, replaced Hagar in Van Halen in 1996.

The season premiere follows the Red Rocker to Las Vegas, where he’ll hang with Def Leppard during their Planet Hollywood residency and visit NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal at his restaurant Big Chicken.

On the April 26 episode, Hagar heads to his hometown, Fontana, California, where he’ll meet up with Thomas and perform a duet version Rob’s smash hit with Santana, “Smooth,” in concert.

The May 3 installment of Rock & Roll Road Trip features Sammy going on an adventure with Ted Nugent that includes a wild four-wheeler ride and an archery lesson. Hagar also will chat with Nugent and jam with him on the Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels classic “Jenny Take a Ride.”

The guests featured on the upcoming season’s other three confirmed episodes will be country duo Big & Rich on May 10; Walsh, May and veteran country star Tanya Tucker on May 17; and Extreme on May 31.

“We have an absolute blast producing this show each year, visiting incredible locations to sit down with some of the most legendary entertainers of all time,” says Hagar. “This is a dream come true for me, traveling the country to hang out and play music with my friends, and I am excited to show our fans all the epic things we have planned in season five.”

Six additional episodes of Rock & Roll Road Trip will air on AXS TV later in 2020.
